Whether your child has one year or two years to prepare, there are many things parents can do to make sure they are ready for their child's next stage of education. Here I share with you the top tips from February 2023 to help you prepare your children for college.

First, parents are encouraged to help their children look for scholarships and financial aid. February is a good time to start looking and find out what scholarships are available. Many have spring application deadlines, so it is important to start looking early in the year.

Parents should also help them make a list of colleges to which they want to apply. This will help them establish a plan for the next few months. After making a list, parents can help their children research each college, evaluating costs, academic programs, facilities, college culture and location.

In addition, parents should talk to their children about the importance of maintaining a good academic record. February is a good time to talk to children about the courses they will be taking in the upcoming semester, and make sure they are taking the right ones to prepare for college. Parents can also offer academic support and help them set realistic goals.

Finally, parents should help their children prepare for interviews and tests. Many colleges require interviews and/or tests for admission, so parents should help them prepare for these events. This includes helping them prepare their answers, practicing college interviews, and taking practice tests to prepare for the exam.

In this live session we share with you even more tips on all the things you should be doing as a parent to support your children in 2023.
